Algy Yates builds Uiberlacher's 1/6-scale Tempest

Algy Yates is right now working on a 1/6-scale Tempest, designed by Sepp Uiberlacher. He will cover the fuselage and wing with balsa and then glass them. He is then planning on using some of the panels that are removable on the full size to give access to switches extra. These will be made from Litho plate as will a lot of the scale detailing such as cannon blisters.

Most of the tail fairings will be made from fibreglass laid up on blue foam and them the foam washed out with thinners. Working NAV and landing lights will be fitted. The power will be supplied by an MVVS 215 petrol engine, which fits easily in the cowl. Enjoy the photos of the model so far. We hope Algy keep us updated!
