 Marko Klancisar´s Tempest

This cute little Tempest is built by Marko Klancisar. He modified a West Wing Wingleader rubber powered Tempest. 1/23,9-scale and a wingspan of only 524mm!! To control the Tempest, Marko uses two micro servos and a micro Multiplex receiver. After the first flights he reports:
"About flying... I tested it yesterday with current configuration and it flew; rather silly... It's a little underpowered so it had to be flown with care. It has a unusual wish to stall when speed is critical ;), and speed is critical almost always during flight time. I'm going to try with 8,4 V engine (25 grams) and 7x8,5 g cells with BEC regulator (3 grams). This will increase the weight for approx. 5 grams, but speed will be increased enough to fly a little devil with my pants dry. I'll send you some better quality pics of Tempest inflight soon. (I hope heh, heh)."
