Squadron Leader Spike Umbers

I am a relative of Spike Umbers. Had he lived he would be my uncle, dad was his youngest brother. I have a photo that may be worth adding to the website as its signed by a lot of 486 sqdn pilots. If they signed it together it had to be signed before June 1943, as thats as late as they were all alive.

Spike was at Tangmere at the time. Maybe someone knows the whereabouts of the original as it would have a historic signifigance to kiwis. This was in the effects of Spikes late widow Pamela and given to me by his daughter. I believe Pam was a plotter at Tangmere and thats how they met. It would be interesting to see what info comes out of the woodwork if it goes on line.
