Note that this clip includes Wing Commander Roland Beamont's flight and landing with RPB (EJ706). The clip is from a press demonstration on 11 October 1944, the panel detached during a 500 mph dive!!

This clip starts with a sequence shot for an aircraft recognition film shot when the Tempest first entered service. It features 486 Sqn at
Beaulieu, they only had 2 Tempests
left out of the 5 they had received (3 were being repaired after bird-strikes when they beat up Tangmere on leaving).

Then we have some Newchurch 3 Sqn shots and then back to Volkel with a very brief glimpse of US-H of 56 Sqn.
